2009 September Cup

the 7th annual september cup subbuteo tournament. numbers were down a little this year, with some former champions overseas or out of town, so it was down to two groups of 4, with the top two from each group going to the semis. alex and adrian won their groups, while second place in both groups was tight. scott beat out josh by virtue of more goals scored (points and goal difference were identical) while in the other group, dany and costa finished with identical stats in every regard and had to go to a play-off, won by costa. the semis were each won by the two group winners - alex seeing off scott 2-1 and adrian getting up 1-0 over costa. the grand final was a bit of a whitewash, however, with alex putting 3 goals away and barely looking like conceding. so, a new champion's name to add to the trophy.
