{"id":7766,"date":"2026-07-27T17:24:51","date_gmt":"2026-07-27T07:24:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/subbuteoaustralia.com\/?p=7766"},"modified":"2026-07-27T17:24:52","modified_gmt":"2026-07-27T07:24:52","slug":"expressions-of-interest-2027-international-open-tournament-hosts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/subbuteoaustralia.com\/?p=7766","title":{"rendered":"Expressions of Interest &#8211; 2027 International Open Tournament Hosts"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The ATFA Committee is seeking Expressions of Interest from Australian tournament organisers to host our two allotted FISTF International Open tournaments for the 2027 season.<br><br>International Open tournaments are designed to be larger tournaments, a step below our annual Australian Grand Prix in scale and importance. Organisers would need to be able to organise a tournament that hosts 15-30 players in a suitable venue and with suitable equipment. The possibility of hosting a team event, as well as women&#8217;s and junior events, pending numbers, as part of the tournament would also need to be taken into consideration. The Committee is keen to spread these tournaments around the country as much as possible, so applications from organisers outside of Sydney and Melbourne are particularly encouraged.<br><br>While specific dates are not set and can be negotiated with a fair amount of flexibility, with the 2027 Australian Grand Prix being held in Melbourne in January, one International Open in May\/June and another in September\/October would be ideal. <br><br>Interested parties should place their applications using the official ATFA &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/subbuteoaustralia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/ATFA-EOI-for-FISTF-Events.docx\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"http:\/\/subbuteoaustralia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/ATFA-EOI-for-FISTF-Events.docx\">Expression of Interest for FISTF Events (word document)<\/a>&#8216; which can also be found on our <a href=\"https:\/\/subbuteoaustralia.com\/?page_id=3886\">Official Documents<\/a> page.
