FISTF World Tour Returns to Perth for the 2026 Perth Winter Classic

After a 7 year absence, the Federation of International Sports Table Football (FISTF) World Tour returns to Western Australia’s capital, as players from Australia and Singapore prepare to battle it out on the Subbuteo pitch to claim glory!

Jointly hosted by local clubs Subbuteo Perth and The Sports Table Football Club of Australia of Western Australia (TSTFCWA), the 2026 Perth Winter Classic will be the 4th running of this event, following the annual staging of the event during 2017-2019, where Australia’s Fabrizio Coco (2017), and Singapore’s Benny Ng (2018) and Bernard Lim (2019) claimed the honour of winning the title.

Now fast forward to Saturday August 15, 2026, and a field of local, interstate, and overseas players will compete in South Lake at the venue of the Elite Cricket WA Training Facility to be crowned the 2026 champion.

Taking on special significance this year is that the event will be held to honour the late John Harty who sadly passed away last year. John was a founding member of Subbuteo Perth and instrumental in conceptualising the idea for the Winter Classic, and organising the first edition in 2017 at the historic Freemantle Town Hall. It is only fitting that as the tournament returns to Perth, this year as a ‘Satellite’ event on the FISTF World Tour, that John is appropriately honoured for his role in bringing the game to where it is today in Western Australia.

The Perth players have been hard at work practising for the big event, with both Subbuteo Perth and TSTFCWA hosting WASPA tournaments in July, giving players a final chance to sharpen their skills ahead of the big day.

Registration is open now and is free! Spectators are also welcome and encouraged.
