The second edition of the Louis Micallef Memorial FISTF Satellite Tournament is being hosted by Western Sydney Subbuteo in June. Louis Micallef, the ‘Godfather’ of Western Sydney Subbuteo, first played subbuteo in his native Malta in the early 1960s. Bringing his collection with him when he immigrated, this continued to grow and is possibly the finest collection in Australia. He also taught the game to his three sons, Joe, Ray and Vince. While Joe now lives in the USA, Ray and Vince are pillars of Western Sydney Subbuteo and it is Ray’s business, FitDistrict in Bella Vista, which will be our host venue for the tournament. Louis passed away in April, 2025, and this annual FISTF Satellite tournament is now held is his honour.
